Changed product packages
On March 1st 2022 we are changing our product packages for all new users signing up for e-conomic. And on April 1st we will migrate all of our existing users to the updated product line up. On this page you will find the most relevant information for you as a developer.

More features.
Our four packages now include most of our add on modules. We have done this to meet the needs and expectations of our users, and to make choosing the right accounting software even easier. As for the user interface, it is still the same for a continuously user experience.
Restricted API access in Basis package
As a developer, you should note that the API access is now restricted in our smallest package - Basis. Users with a Basis package are only able to write to the API via salary systems and accounting consolidation tools. Otherwise they have read only access to the API. So, if your integration uses write operations, and is not a salary system nor a consolidation tool, then, to use your integration in e-conomic, the user must have one of the larger packages. This is of course taken into consideration when we migrate existing users to the updated packages.

More features for easier package choice
One of the main reason behind this change is to simplify the packages for our users. We’ve analysed data from our 160,000 users to better understand their usage of e-conomic. Based on this, we've turned our three packages into four including many more features. The aim is for this to streamline the workflow, digitalise accounting, and make collaboration easier.

Digitalisation and automation on the agenda
We are constantly monitoring the needs for accounting and we know that the future is digitalisation and automation. Therefore, we've included key features in all packages that reflect what we believe is the minimum standard for accounting in 2022 - and basically making smart workflows more available.
Updated prices and more security
With the changed packages comes updated and more flexible prices that better reflect the value of the content and features given to the users. At the same time, we have invested in securing our users' data with an ISAE 3000 and an ISAE 3402 declaration to document it.

This update reduces complexity for our users. Now, the four packages, include more core features and add-on modules, and better reflect the needs of an accounting program anno 2022. Note that the new Basis package only allows for read actions via the API.

UPDATED PACKAGES FOR EXISTING USERS
How will we migrate our users to the updated packages?
The migration of existing users will be done automatically on April 1st. 2022. Based on every single user's data in e-conomic, we will migrate them to the packages with the best match, and make sure that no functionality is lost. Meaning that if a costumer is using your integration today, they will be migrated to a package that includes API writing access, and continue using your integration. If the users prefer another package, they will be able to switch.
